The Australian Islamic Centre is Australia's most anticipated architectural project,   being 10 years in the making.

The project is a collaboration between Australia's best known and most awarded architect Glen Murcutt and Melbourne Architect Hakan Elevli.

The contemporary design does not feature any traditional minarets, domes or enclosing walls and rather embraces openness and horizontality.
